Hi, I’m Evan! You’ve reached my Thompson Rivers University Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) teaching portfolio.
I acknowledge with respect the Lekwungen peoples on whose traditional territory I live, work and play. In addition, I acknowledge the Songhees, Esquimalt and WSÁNEĆ peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
I am a formally trained educator and administrator (BA, BEd, and MEd) with progressive teaching and management experience in the public education and post-secondary environments. I’ve had the privilege of working as an educator on a First Nations community in Northern Manitoba, a substitute teacher in Ontario, a student affairs and services professional at institutions in Ontario and British Columbia, as well as senior management level experience within a post-secondary museum at a research-intensive university.
Outside of work I enjoy hiking, biking, running and backpacking adventures. My husband and I love to travel and we’ve been to Australia, Cambodia, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Portugal, Sri Lanka, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Vietnam and throughout the United States.
